The Bachelorette 2012: Emily Goes on First Date With Ryan
On the first part of tonight's episode of "The Bachelorette", Emily Maynard went on her first date. "Today is my very first date and I am so excited," she said at the beginning of the show. She also talked about how happy she was to be in Charlotte. "To have Ricki here, to have my mom here, friends and great family. Its my town - I feel comfortable here. I have a great support system here in Charlotte."
Emily's first date card went to Ryan, 31, a pro sports trainer. The card said: "Be my king in the queen city."
First, Emily took Ryan on a date... to her house! Together, they baked cookies and took them over to her daughter, who was at soccer practice. Emily asks Ryan to sit in the car while she drops off the cookies. "It takes a cool guy to be totally ok to make cookies for my kid and running all my errands with me," she told him. "I'm cherishing this because this is you and i feel like today we definitely connected.
Afterwards, Emily dressed up in a sexy red-magenta dress and heels. Together they went to Osso, Emily's favorite restaurant in Charlotte. She explains to him" my biggest fear going through this whole experience, is that people see it as a game. I don't want anybody to ever see it as a competition."
She tells Ryan that "this could not have been a more perfect day for me" and gave him a rose. Then they go outside and dance to some live music from Gloriana.
