Speculation surrounding the fake death of Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) on BBC's Sherlock in season 2 has continued to make waves as fans patiently wait it out for the small screen arrival of its third installment.

Creator of the program, Steven Moffat, recently stated that the time is almost near to come clean with exactly how Sherlock pulled off his bogus death, according to International Business Times.

"It's been a long time since Sherlock Holmes jumped off that roof. It's time to reveal the truth about what happened between him and the pavement," he said.

Speaking of recent deaths, real or fake, Andrew Scott was queried on whether Moriarty would come back from the dead in the future much like his arch-nemesis, and the actor gave the following response:

"People ask me that everyday. It's a small price to pay for having been in such a wonderful show," he said.
