America's voting eliminated two hopefuls from The Voice on Tuesday night.

The Top 8 was narrowed down to the Top 6 when Caroline Pennell of Team Cee Lo Green and Ray Boudreaux of Team Blake Shelton were sent packing following their Monday night performances.

While season 5 contestants have the added help of iTunes sales bonuses, which multiplies an artist's vote by five when their single for that week enters the iTunes Top 10, and Instant Save, which allows voters to save one of the bottom three by tweeting their support, Pennell and Boudreaux received neither of these advantages.

Although Pennell made it to the Top 8 with the help of the Instant Save, America took to Twitter to help a different contestant this week. In five minutes of furious tweeting, voters rallied around Matthew Schuler of Team Christina Aguilera. Placed in the Bottom Three with Pennell and Boudreaux, Schuler managed to move onto the Top 6 by the skin of her teeth.

While Team Cee Lo is now completely out of the running, Team Adam Levine still has three competitors in the mix. On top of that high statistic, Team Adam's Will Champlin received the iTunes bonus for his rendition of Etta James' At Last (see video below)

For his final performance on Monday, Pennell performed Dog Days Are Over by Florence and the Machine while Boudreaux sang Gimme Some Lovin' by the Spencer Davis Group.

The Voice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
