It was a tough night for Demi Lovato, who lost the last two remaining members of her team on Thursday night's episode of the X Factor.

Ellona Santiago, who performed Lady Gaga's Applause and Beyonce's If I Were A Boy on Wednesday's segment, was the first to be sent home. Lovato and fellow judge Kelly Rowland were visibly shocked and so was Santiago.

"I was very shocked and surprised when I was on stage and my name got called," Santiago said during her exit interview. "I loved each and every performance because I gave it my all. I poured out my heart and soul into every performance for America and my family."

It was later revealed that Rion Paige and Paulina Rubio's team member Carlito Olivero were going to compete for a chance to be in the top four.

Paige took the stage to perform Miranda Lambert's The House That Built Me while Olivero danced around to Usher's You Make Me Wanna.

While Lovato chose Paige as the contestant to remain in the competition, all the other three judges voted for Olivero.

In her exit interview, Paige expressed her gratitude for being on the show.

"Everybody has just been so welcoming and so humbling and it just makes me realize that now I have my name out there and I can go and tackle my dream even more," she said.

Carlito will now compete against Alex & Sierra and Restless Road from Simon's group and Jeff Gutt from Kelly's group.
