Liz Keen's life was turned upside down when Raymond Red Reddington made her his personal FBI confidant.

Just as the profiler was beginning to get her white picket fence life on track, Red (James Spader) dumped a pile of mysteries in her lap and now she's ready to do whatever it takes to uncover the truth about her connection to Red, her parents, and her husband's true identity.

"I think this season is an evolution of Liz going from someone who is pretty good and think she knows how the world works and by the end of the season, we will see her do things and compromise herself in ways that she never thought possible," said executive producer Wendy West in the Behind the Blacklist feature for "Fredrick Barnes."

Viewers got a taste of the evolving Liz (Megan Boone) during Anslo Garrick's recent siege of the blacksite. While answering fan questions for NBC, Boone explained that Liz will evolve based on her experiences (which have, of late, involved more fighting) and her need to get answers.

"I want her to survive so ultimately her own survival and happiness is the most important thing to me," Boone explained. "I want her to get the answers that she needs and what ever she has to do to get those and however she has to change and evolve I hope that she is able to adapt."

The Blacklist is currently on a six-week break but will return to NBC in January. Click the video below to see Red give Liz a piece to one major answer she was looking for.
