Netflix's popular series, House of Cards, will undoubtedly be picking off where it left off in terms of the action for its sophomore season, which will surely be featuring the manipulative Francis Underwood (Kevin Spacey) up to his usual calculating ways.

However, this time around,Francis will have the shoe on the other foot, as he'll be at the receiving end of a blackmail by President Walker's (Michael Gill) tycoon confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney).

To make matters worse, Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) and her journalist friends start compiling facts about Underwood's checkered past, as they'll likely be serious trouble igniting for the Vice President and his livelihood in the second season.

While Francis has pulled no punches when it comes to doing whatever it takes to move further and further up the political ladder, he did reach ruthless heights when he murdered Peter Russo (Corey Stoll).

In other HoC news, SpoilerTV reported that Homeland's Carl Franklin, Glengarry Glen Ross's James Foley, Justified's John David Coles, actress Jodi Foster and Robin Wright will all be directing episodes in the upcoming installment.
