Three new characters are going to be introduced in episode 14 of The Good Wife and one of them will not bode well for Alicia.

While the show is on a brief winter hiatus, season 5 is set to resume airing on Jan. 5 and spoilers for the new episodes have already begun to surface. It seems like a bunch of new characters will be helping spice things up in the legal drama.

One of the new characters will be Rhona, a highly accomplished lawyer and a partner at a top law firm. There is no word yet on which firm she will be engaging with, or what her exact role will be in the current scheme of things.

Another character, Lorraine, will be introduced by way of flashbacks from season 1. Lorraine will meet Alicia under the pretense of a job interview, but her real motives will involve finding out more about the affair Alicia's husband Peter Florrick had. Since season 1, Peter has become governor.

It is also being hinted that Lorraine might tie in with a development in the last episode, where ethics lawyer Marilyn Garbanza revealed that she is pregnant. The child's father is rumored to be Peter.

Another new character, Howard, is a nervous and overworked human resources manager. He will try and recruit Alicia for the role of a paralegal in the episode.

Ben Rappaport, who played Carey on the show, will be making his return as a young attorney at Lockhart/Gardner.

In The Decision Tree, which was also the show's 100th episode, focused on a holiday party at Florrick/Ago where Alicia found out that one of her former clients left her a small fortune in his will. She had to fight to claim her share of the money when Lockhart/Gardner disputed the will by representing the deceased client's wife.
