"Basketball Wives" Kenya Bell to Financially Support Ex Charlie?
With the future of Basketball Wives uncertain for producer Shaunie O'Neal, another Basketball Wives star is facing a potential lawsuit from her ex-husband. It seems Kenya Bell, who is fairly a newcomer to the show, might have to pay spousal support to her ex husband Charlie Bell, who was the former guard for Golden State Warriors.
Bell was dropped from the NBA last year and is not earning anywhere near as much as he used to. He currently plays for an Italian Basketball League "Otta Caserta", receiving $100,000. However, it seems that isn't enough for him anymore and now that his ex-wife is starring in Basketball Wives, he is demanding spousal support from her. Charlie claims that Kenya is earning $300,000 from the show, which she denies. Kenya also has a single out on iTunes - which Charlie is hoping to get a slice out of.
Kenya Bell is a former Miss Michigan beauty queen. She and Charlie, 33, have two children together. Kenya was arrested last year for assaulting her Charlie with a box-cutter at his home.
Despite a petition to boycott "Basketball Wives," the show has been renewed for a fifth season. A two-part reunion special is scheduled to air next month. The first part will air June 4 at 8 p.m. and the second on June 11 at 8 p.m.
