'The Blacklist' Spoilers: Red Seeks Revenge For Luli's Death in January, Will He Go After Alan Alda's Character? VIDEO
The Blacklist's Raymond 'Red' Reddington is not pleased about being betrayed, and the he is determined to uncover the mole when the series returns in January.
Following the events of "Anslo Garrick - Part 2," two new villains came on the scene and it became apparent that Red is not quite as safe as he thought he was. While Garrick (Ritchie Coster) wound up losing his life in and unfulfilled quest to exact revenge upon his former partner, Alan Alda's character looks like he will be a threat for a long time to come. With his seemingly extensive and adept network, the baddie can has already proved that he can infiltrate even the most secure hideouts.
"The episode ends at a place with Red having to reconsider whether or not this arrangement is working, can work," said writer Lukas Reiter in a Beyond the Blacklist feature. "Whether he can stay part of this team, whether he can continue to give the FBI the names of criminals on the blacklist or whether he needs to end this arrangement and take care of himself and maybe disappear for a while.
Although Red (James Spader) took off at the end of the midseason finale, it doesn't look like he will be gone for too long. The criminal mastermind is still seething over the death of Luli (Deborah S. Craig) and, since it doesn't appear that he can go after Alda, he will be looking to take down everyone else involved in the blacksite raid, including a familiar face, according to TV Guide.
The Blacklist airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
