The soccer team at Liverpool will be facing off against Cardiff City at 12:45 p.m. GMT.

Liverpool (10-3-3) will be hosting Cardiff City (4-5-7) at Anfield Stadium in Anfield, Liverpool, England. Liverpool is second in the Premier League with 33 points with Cardiff City ranking at no. 15 with 17 points.

The team at Liverpool beat Cardiff City in their last match, which was the Carling Cup in 2012. Otherwise, the teams have not played each other in the league since 1959. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is confident in his team's success, despite having some players sitting out.

"The squad we have at the moment is still relatively small, we have got a few players out," he noted. "But I'll always look from within, like I have done whenever we have had injuries, when young Jon Flanagan came into the team or Raheem Sterling came into the team. There's very much a togetherness here, and that's one of the key facets of the season so far."

Meanwhile, Cardiff City manager Makly Mackay knows his team needs to bring their A-game going into Saturday's match.

"It's a job only three-quarters done as far as I am concerned - making Cardiff a sustainable Premier League team," Mackay said. "I have a great group of players who are competing at this level and enjoying this level. The fans are enjoying being at this level and my duty is to make sure we continue to do that."

Liverpool has won four of their last six games while Cardiff City has only won one of their last six.
