'Dancing With the Stars' Cruise: Derek Hough Set to Appear in 'At Sea' Challenge in January 2014 [VIDEO]
Pro dancer Derek Hough is joining the Dancing With the Stars cruise in early January 2014.
Hough is joining Dancing With the Stars: At Sea, a seven-day cruise that travels across the Caribbean starting on Jan. 5. Other Dancing With the Stars pros and celebrities ready to set sail on the Nieuw Amsterdam ship on Jan. 5 include singer Joey Fatone, TV personality Carson Kressley and pro dancers Sharna Burgess and Emma Slater. Singer-acctress Sabrina Bryan and pros Tristan MacManus and Kym Johnson will set sail on both the Jan. 5 tour and the Jan. 12 tour.
During the cruise, both the pros and the celebrities will conduct meet-and-greets with the passengers in addition to performing their dance routines. The pro dancers will also be teaching dance lessons to the passengers. A fashion show will be held with costumes from Dancing With the Stars as the main feature.
The sailing is part of the Champions Cruise for Dancing With the Stars: At Sea, which takes 15 dance-competition winners and pits them against each other. Whichever couple wins at the end will be titled Holland America's Dancing With the Stars: At Sea champion.
Hough has won Dancing With the Stars five times in the show's 17 seasons. The Emmy Award-winning choreographer won the Mirrorball Trophy in season 7 with Brooke Burke, season 10 with Nicole Scherzinger, season 11 with Jennifer Grey, season 16 with Kellie Pickler, and, most recently, season 17 with Amber Riley.
