The next few episodes of Bones season 9 will be very eventful, according to new reports.
The next episode of Bones, titled The Ghost in the Killer, features Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) discovering the remains of a young girl on their doorstep. The newly married couple investigates the girl's death, which occurred 18 years ago, with the girl's ex-boyfirend becoming a main suspect. The catch is that the ex-boyfriend used to be friends with Hodgins (T. J. Thyne).
Meanwhile, Brennan deals with some demons as she dreams about serial killer Pelant (Andrew Leeds), who was killed earlier in season 9. She also receives word on a new serial killer on the loose who is much more secretive than Pelant.
After this midseason premiere is the Boreanaz-directed episode Big in the Philippines. Episode 9x13 features the Jeffersonian team investigating the murder of an anonymous singer while intern Wendell (Michael Grant Terry) goes through "quite an emotional story."
