WATCH Beyonce, Kelly Rowland Diss in Throwback VIDEO With Old Destinys Child Members, Latavia Roberson & Letoya Luckett
A throwback video of Beyonce throwing Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland some major shade has gone viral.
The singers have always been like sisters, but even best friends get competitive. A clip, posted on Vine shows each of the original members of Destiny's Child--Rowland, Latavia Roberson, Letoya Luckett and Beyonce introducing themselves for the camera. In the footage, Rowland is seen telling the interviewer, "I'm the second lead vocalist in the group." The camera then turns to Beyonce, who responds in total shock, giving a side-eye and a fake cough.
"Beyonce so f--ing SHADYYYY!!!" the Vine user wrote as the video's caption.
Destiny's Child has gone through a whirlwind of changes since they debuted in 1990. In 1999, Roberson and Luckett left the group after issues with Beyonce's dad, Matthew Knowles, who at the time served as the group's manager. Then, new members Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams joined the group during the 'Say My Name' music video. Franklin soon left the group within a year for missing gigs and not being able to put up with the pressure of stardom.
Beyonce, Rowland and Williams went on to be successful as a group and with solo careers. In February 2013, the ladies reunited on stage for the SuperBowl.
Over the summer in 2013, Rowland added controversy to the group after she pointed out being jealous over Beyonce's solo career.
"When my sister was on stage, killin' it like a motherf-er/ I was enraged, feelin' it like a motherf-er/ Bird in a cage, you would never know what I was dealing with/ Went our separate ways, but I was happy she was killin' it/ Bittersweet, she was up, I was down," she sings on the track, Dirty Laundry.
Neither Rowland nor Beyonce have yet to comment on the throwback video.
