'Person of Interest' Season 3 Spoilers: Will Mr. Finch & Root Team Up in Future Episodes? [VIDEO]
Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson) and Root (Amy Acker) could possibly be allies in future episodes of Person of Interest.
Emerson spoke with TVLine recently about Root's constant allusions to "something big coming" in the future, suggesting that her knowledge about The Machine is haunting for Mr. Finch.
"That line from her made my hair stand on end, because she clearly knows things that we don't know," Emerson said. "She's a confidante in the Machine in a way that no one else is, so I'm sure Mr Finch lays awake at night wondering what the heck she meant."
Mr. Finch might see value in Root's abilities in the future, indicating a possible alliance in the future.
"Mr. Finch is warming to her, a bit," Emerson teased. "She's proven certain things, and it's not all bad. But it's all crazy."
Future episodes will see various forces trying to take control of The Machine, as Person of Interest executive producer Greg Plageman told TVLine earlier in the week.
"We're going to see these various entities jockey for control of The Machine or at least something commensurate with it," Plageman teased, which will lead to a point "where Root starts to take matters into her own hands."
Fellow executive producer Jonathan Nolan said that the HR business that took place in the first half of the season would be just the start of the POI team's problems.
Person of Interest season 3 airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
