On the next episode of True Detective, Hart (Woody Harrelson) and Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) might find themselves without a case due to mounting pressure to find a suspect.

The two detectives will be pressured to find a suspect for the murder of Dora Kelly Lange, with their boss Quesada (Kevin Dunn) threatening to assign new detectives on the case. The synopsis for episode 2 of True Detective, titled Seeing Things, reveals a few key details about Hart and Cohle's plan.

"Under pressure to land a suspect in the Lange murder, Quesada warns Hart and Cohle that they might be replaced by three detectives from a new task force," the synopsis reads. "The pair lobbies for extra time to follow up on a lead that takes them from a rural cathouse to an incinerated church. With his marriage to Maggie already strained by work, Hart finds respite away from home."

The first episode of True Detective premiered Sunday night on HBO. It is the first season of what is intended to be an anthology series, with each season containing its own self-contained storyline that will not carry over into the next season. As McConaughey and Harrelson are relatively big movie stars, it is unlikely that either actor will take on new roles in season 2, leaving room for other stars who wish to do a season of television.

True Detective airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
