Pretty Little Liars fans will get more intriguing drama between Mona (Janel Parrish) and Ezra (Ian Harding) in the coming episodes.

Pretty Little Liars executive producer Joseph Dougherty spoke with E! Online this week about the Mona-Ezra relationship. Viewers will come to see that Mona doesn't actually believe that Ezra is A.

"I think Mona thinks they're both working for the same person, but of course that might be ego on her part," Dougherty said. "So again I'm not so sure she thinks she's working for him. Being a super genius and being an evil genius is rough, it takes a lot out of you."

Mona will also have more storylines involving her relationship with Hanna (Ashley Benson) and her anger for Alison (Sasha Pieterse).

"Mona is a very complex character and I think Mona has a deep, true love for her friend Hanna," PLL showrunner I. Marlene King told The Huffington Post. "I think Mona has had resentment and a deep-seeded anger towards Alison and more of that will be explored in this next slew of episodes."

King also said that she and her fellow producers knew that Ezra was going to be A after they came to the conclusion that Mona was not working alone in her schemes.

The next episode, titled Love ShAck Baby, airs Tuesday, Jan. 14.

Pretty Little Liars season 4 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
