NHL hockey fans can live stream tonight's faceoff between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Buffalo Sabres for free online.

The two teams will take the ice at 7:30 p.m. ET from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.

Coming into their 47th game of the season, the Philadelphia Flyers have a 23-19-4. After losing to the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first game of the year, the Flyers went through a rough patch before turning their game around in November and December. Since the start of 2014, the Flyers have defeated the Phoenix Coyotes, the New Jersey Devils, and the Montreal Canadiens while falling to the Colorado Avalanche, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the New York Rangers. The Pennsylvania team is currently in fourth place for the Metropolitan Division with 50 points.

Entering tonight's game, the Buffalo Sabres have a 13-26-5 record. It has been a tough season for the Sabres, and 2014 has not provided much of a reprieve for the beleaguered team. After losing nine of the seasons' first 10 games, Buffalo continued to be crushed in nearly every game until December, at which point they defeated the Ottawa Senators, the Winnipeg Jets, the Boston Bruins, the Phoenix Coyotes, and the Washington Capitals. With 31 points, the Sabres are currently in eighth place for the Metropolitan Division after winning Sunday's match against the Washington Capitals.
