Delilah's injury on NCIS left some fans wondering what will happen between her and Timothy McGee. Will their fairly new relationship come to an end?

The show's executive producer, Gary Glasberg, revealed that the two will find a way to make it work.

"It's going to be a bumpy road for them, but I think you'll see how it brings them closer together," he told TV Guide in a Tuesday report.

McGee's girlfriend was affected by a bomb that exploded at a gala, as the team searched arduously for Benham Parsa. Delilah later had to undergo two surgeries in order to save her life.

In an emotional moment, McGee admitted to Leroy Jethro Gibbs that he wasn't sure how to speak to Delilah after the devastating incident, which left her paralyzed. Gibbs offered McGee some advice and said that honesty was the best policy.

Glasberg previously spoke about the relationship between McGee and Delilah and said it was an aspect of the season he was enthusiastic about.

"That's a relationship that we're having some fun with, and we've got some plans in store," he told Entertainment Weekly last October. "I'm excited about it, actually."

Another relationship that fans have pondered about is Tony and Ziva. Although Ziva left the NCIS team last October, Glasberg said he is often asked if the two will ever meet again. The showrunner revealed he isn't against the idea, but it will probably play out a little differently than some fans would hope.

"A lot of people have approached me about the idea of not shutting the door entirely on [their staying in touch], and I'm not opposed to it," he recently told TVLine. "But it has to be done in a way where it feels organic to the storytelling and we're not just throwing in lines about Ziva here and there."
