'True Detective' Season 1 Spoilers: Cohle Quitting Police Force After Fracturing Relationship With Hart? [VIDEO]
With the first season of True Detective halfway over, the final four episodes will feature the 1995 and 2012 scenes gradually growing closer.
Cohle Being Set Up In Episode 5?
The next episode of True Detective, episode 5, features Hart (Woody Harrelson) and Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) "celebrating a solved case" in 1995 while the two present-day detectives Papania (Tory Kittles) and Gilbough (Michael Potts) confront them with new intelligence.
The new intelligence could have something to do with Cohle's character flaws, based on the promo for the episode. This episode is set to air on Sunday, Feb. 16

Episode 6 is titled Haunted Houses and features the gap between 1995 and 2012 growing closer together. The synopsis for the episode states that episode 6 will include Maggie Hart (Michelle Monaghan) revealing Cohle's "activities" in 2002.
During this time, Cohle's relationship with Hart had completely fractured, and the mysterious detective decided to quit the force.
In episode 7, which is titled After You've Gone, Hart and Cohle will be back together and investigating a string of disappearances that could potentially be connected to the Dora Lange murder as well as the Tuttle family.
The final episode of season 1 is titled Form and Void and may take place entirely in the present. According to the plot synopsis, Hart and Cohle will get a new lead in "their 17-year-old case," implying that the two detectives could team up again to solve the murder case once and for all in 2012.
The final four episodes of the season are sure to be action-packed. Actress Alexandra Daddario, who plays Lisa in the series, told E! Online recently that the final episodes are "really exciting" though she admitted that she could not reveal anything.
True Detective airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.
