News of the season 2 streaming date comes days after Enstars reported about the unofficial April 25 premiere date that first appeared on Google. While OITNB fans will have to wait a little longer for more prison drama than previously assumed, at least there is now an official date to look forward to.

Season 2 will be a "wild" one for Orange is the New Black, according to Taryn Manning - who plays Pennsatucky.

"The show just continues to get wild and the writing is supreme," she said previously. "You just get to peek in a little bit more into the characters and you really start to get to know other characters that maybe you didn't get to know in season 1."

She added that there will be "all sorts of surprises" in season 2, though she was hesitant to reveal anything about what was next for her character.
