The final three episodes of True Detective will feature the disintegration of the Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) and Hart (Woody Harrelson) relationship followed by their reunion.

The next episode of True Detective is titled Haunted Houses and features an exploration of Cohle's life in 2002, when the mysterious detective severed his ties to Hart and the police force altogether.

Maggie (Michelle Monaghan) will be interviewed by the present-day detectives Papania (Tory Kittles) and Gilbough (Michael Potts) about Cohle's 2002 activities. As seen from the promo for the episode, Maggie says that she knew Cohle to be a good man and adds that she doesn't know how she can help the detectives.

The promo also previews Cohle and Hart's diminishing relationship as Cohle bitterly tells Hart that he is nothing without him.

In episode 7, which is titled After You've Gone, Cohle and Hart manage to come together for the good of the case. They agree to a truce and pursue a string of disappearances that are tied to the specific symbols found in the Dora Lange case as well as the Tuttle family.

Finally, in the last episode of the season, titled Form and Void, Cohle and Hart find an "overlooked detail" in the case that ultimately gets them a lead in the 17-year case.

True Detective will air a new episode every Sunday, leading to the season finale on March 9.
