A new promo for The Table Polarization, the 16th episode of the season, features a teaser that Sheldon and Amy could be breaking up. The couple recently had their very first kiss, but that affection could cause Sheldon to have second thoughts.

"Amy has made me a more affectionate, open-minded person," Sheldon warns in the promo. He then proceeds to directly tell Amy that "we need to end this relationship."

The episode will feature a lot of big changes, based on the CBS plot synopsis. The Table Polarization features Leonard (Johnny Galecki) buying a dining room table, which leads to Sheldon reevaluating all of the changes in his life, such as his relationship with Amy.

Meanwhile, Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) gets an offer to go back into space again, but Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) is unsure if she should encourage him to do so.

The Big Bang Theory executive producer Steve Molaro recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the big kiss between Sheldon and Amy and what that meant going forward in the show.

"It happened. He clearly didn't dislike it. It turned out to be not as bad as he thought it would be - as he described to Leonard when he got home. And we'll see where they go from there," Molaro teased.

The Big Bang Theory season 7 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
