Just as soon as Brooke Burke-Charvet was fired from her co-host role on Dancing With the Stars, producers have found a replacement for season 18.

Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews will officially take over for Burke-Charvet in season 18, according to several new reports. Andrews will join fellow co-host Tom Bergeron in presenting the latest season of the dancing competition.

Andrews competed as a celebrity in season 10 of Dancing With the Stars, much like Burke-Charvet before her. The popular reporter came in third place that season with her pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Dancing With the Stars has featured a lot of turnover in the female co-hosts department. Lisa Canning co-hosted in 2005 before being replaced by Samantha Harris, who co-hosted from 2006-2009. Burke-Charvet replaced Harris in 2010 and finished her last season in fall 2013.

While Burke-Charvet said in a statement that she was surprised by the news of her being replaced, she added that she understood "the need for change" at this point in the run of Dancing With the Stars.

"I've always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn't able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show," she said in the statement. "I've seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake."

The Dancing With the Stars season 18 cast announcement will unfold on March 4 on Good Morning America.

Dancing With the Stars season 18 premieres Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
