'Girls' Creator Lena Dunham to Make 'SNL' Debut with Musical Guest The National This Month
Lena Dunham will be making her debut as a host on Saturday Night Live with musical guest The National on March 8, according to a Deadline report.

Dunham has been parodied on SNL before in an episode hosted by Tina Fey in September last year. The sketch which took on Dunham's hit HBO series Girls, showed Hannah and three friends -- Marnie, Shoshanna and Jessa -- with Fey playing a new character, Blerta, Hannah's new Albanian roommate. Fey hilariously amplified the girls' obnoxious issues, contrasting them with the dire circumstances Blerta came from.
The 27-year-old writer and actress was seen enjoying the parody at pal Mindy Kaling's place. Kaling took a picture of Dunham sitting back on a couch and watching the show live.

"Watching @lenadunham enjoy Blerta on #snl's #girls in my living room," the Mindy Project star wrote via Twitter on Sept. 28.
She also posted the picture on Instagram with the caption: "Original Girl enjoying Blerta on #snl's Girls at my house @lenadunham."
Dunham might get to work and put her own spin on Girls for the variety-show and maybe even a whole bunch of awkward sex scenes.
The National latest album, Trouble Will Find Me, has received a 2014 Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album. The band also has a documentary, Mistaken For Strangers, which is scheduled for release in the last week of March.
The next episode of SNL, which airs on March 1, will be hosted by Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory) with musical guest Beck.
The next episode of Girls airs on March 2 on HBO.
