Miss USA: Second Contestant Says Pageant Was Rigged, Backing Miss Pennsylvania
First it was Miss Pennsylvania Sheena Monnin who accused the Miss USA organization of rigging the competition. Now a second contestant has come forward with the same allegations, but has chosen to conceal her identity.
She claims that Miss Florida Karina Brez told her she saw a secret document with the names of the top 5 finalists, before the top 15 were announced that evening.
The unnamed contestant told Fox News: "I saw Florida backstage and she was very, very flustered and upset. I thought it might be because she didn't make the top 15 cut, but at that point she was able to reveal to me at least four of the five names who went on to be the top girls. Miss Florida couldn't remember the fifth because she was so upset. Several of the girls then started hearing through the grapevine about a list; a lot of people were upset."
Miss Pennsylvania resigned her post a day after the pageant, accusing the organization of rigging the contest. She is currently facing legal action from Donald Trump, who gave her 24 hours to apologize. He and other fellow contestants call her a sore loser.
Monnin said: "I witnessed another contestant who said she saw the list of the Top 5 BEFORE THE SHOW EVER STARTED proceed to call out in order who the Top 5 were before they were announced on stage." She said when the top five contestants were indeed the top five which she saw on the list, that is when she knew that it was rigged. "I decided to distance myself from an organization who did not allow fair play and whose morals did not match my own," she added.
