On Wednesday night's premiere of Survivor: Cagayan, the Brains tribe got off to one of the worst starts in Survivor history, prompting fans to label them the worst tribe ever.

New 'Tyler Perry' Idol Coming Into Play In Survivor: Cagayan?

Survivor: Cagayan features 18 new players put into three tribes of six, each tribe catering to a specific skill set. In the premiere episode, the Brawn tribe, full of physically fit players and the Beauty tribe, full of physically attractive players, were able to handily beat the Brains tribe, full of intelligent players.

The Brains tribe was highly dysfunctional in the first Immunity Challenge, well behind the Brawn and Beauty tribes in a highly-physical obstacle course. The tribe then voted out their previously-selected "leader," David Samson.

In the next Immunity Challenge, the Brains tribe had a sizable lead on the other tribes but when J'Tia Taylor elected to complete the puzzle, the 31-year-old nuclear engineer was not able to follow through as her tribe was forced to watch the other tribes win Immunity.

While J'Tia had become somewhat of a liability in the challenges and around camp, the three women of the tribe elected to vote out Garrett Adelstein in a shocking blindside. Now, the tribe is left with J'Tia, 41-year-old attorney Kass McQuillen and 21-year-old student Spencer Bledsoe and 37-year-old accountant Tasha Fox.

The failing tribe has been described as the worst tribe in Survivor history on social media and publications. As there are no spoilers out for Survivor: Cagayan, it is unknown if the Brains tribe will continue to fail, but things are not looking good for them.

In previous Survivor seasons, there have been many instances of tribes getting off to horrible starts. In Survivor: Philippines, the Matsing tribe lost the first four Immunity Challenges, whittling down to only Malcolm Freberg and Denise Stapley. However, both players did very well in the game, with Denise winning the $1 million and Malcolm coming in fourth place.

Similarly, Survivor: Samoa featured the relative destruction of the Foa Foa tribe as they lost the first four Immunity Challenges and only had four out of 10 members left by the merge. The tribe managed to fight the odds, though, as all four members made it to the final five, with Natalie White famously beating Russell Hantz in the Final Tribal Council.

Perhaps the worst tribe of all was Ulong in Survivor: Palau. The entire Ulong tribe was decimated before the merge, losing every single Immunity Challenge until only Stephenie LaGrossa was left standing. Stephenie managed to come in seventh place.

While things are not looking great for the Brains tribe in Survivor: Cagayan, there is still hope for the remaining members to pull it together and go deep into the game.

Survivor: Cagayan airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
