An insider for DWTS told Us Weekly this week that there were a number of celebrities who were not interesting in competing in the show in spring 2014.
Television personality Martha Stewart turned down an offer from producers, as did 17-year-old pop star Austin Mahone, who said he could not compete because "he wasn't able to do it with his current schedule."

Actress/host Caroline Rhea also turned down the offer, in addition to season 17 champion Amber Riley's Glee co-star Heather Morris. Country singers Clint Black and Travis Tritt were also asked but chose to sit this season out.
One celebrity who was mysteriously missing from the cast announcement was Olympian-turned-reality star Bruce Jenner, who was reportedly "dying" to compete in season 18.
However, a new report from HollywoodLife.com is claiming that Jenner's longtime wife Kris Jenner prevented him from competing.
"Kris was not about to let the spotlight be off of her and she didn't want him doing it," a family friend told HollywoodLife.com. "She put a stop to his deals and that's why he backed out at the last minute."
Bruce was reportedly "bummed" about not being able to compete, and the report claims that it was all of Kris' doing.
Dancing With the Stars season 18 premieres Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
