The next episode of The Big Bang Theory will include a "murder mystery" in addition to a big development for Sheldon (Jim Parsons).

On Thursday, CBS released a plot synopsis for the upcoming episode titled The Mommy Observation. In the episode, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) organizes a "Murder Mystery" party - a party that ultimately results in fights between the friends.
Meanwhile, Sheldon visits his mother Mary (Laurie Metcalf) in Houston, where he is "forced to confront a new reality." It is unknown what this "new reality" is, but it will almost certainly be difficult for Sheldon to adjust to it.
Amy "Altered" Sheldon Too Much?
CBS also released promotional photos for the upcoming episode, which provides a glimpse at the Murder Mystery party gone wrong. The party includes Raj, Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Amy (Mayim Bialik), Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Stuart (Kevin Sussman).
Stuart is seen lying on the ground, making him the likely "murder victim" of the party. Other photos show Mary consoling Sheldon and Howard (Simon Helberg) chatting with Sheldon in what appears to be the latter's childhood bedroom.
Sheldon and Howard were seen bonding on the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory. The segment featured the pair on a plane, expressing a level of friendship they had never gotten to before when the plane experienced turbulence.
The Big Bang Theory season 7 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
