In an interview with Zap2it, Everett suggested that Sam is seething with anger over his son's death at the hands of unidentified people conducting research experiments. Sam hasn't been able to find out who these people were but this seems to have become his sole agenda now.
"So he's kind of at the end of his mission, of his revenge mission," he said. "And that's his next move, to get revenge on this secret group, this kind of Illuminati, above-the-law, secret-society group -- he has to find their identities."
Sam Reveals Scheme to Incriminate Vincent for Murder?
When asked to reveal any details he might have about the secret group, Sam suggested that fans will find out more about that in the next episode.
"Sam has downloaded all this information off like a TIA-encrypted information, whatchamacallit -- something technical that someone smart would know the name of," he said. "Anyway, Sam would know. That's the information he needed to find the identification of these people and how they meet and when they meet."
The actor also spoke about the vile person Sam had turned into and if he was past the point of no return. Everett addressed the question about if Sam had any goodness left in him.
"That's something that I wanted to figure out. He's doing this because there were these real bad guys, these really evil people who murdered his son and made him crazy. I mean, he's a sociopath!" he said.
think he was a high-functioning one, and now he's a low-functioning one. But you need to watch this episode, because I think he could go either way. It really kind of comes down to how Vincent and Cat want to treat the situation -- they're the ones who decide his fate.
The season 2 finale, About Last Night, aired on March 10 at 8 p.m. on CW.
