Mad Men creator and show runner Matthew Weiner spoke to The Huffington Post in a Tuesday report about ending the AMC '60s drama, teasing a little bit on what's ahead for Don (Jon Hamm), Peggy (Elisabeth Moss) and the others in season 7.
While the final season is being split into two halves, one chunk of episodes to air in 2014 and another in 2015, he noted that he is filming everything at once. The intensity of ending the Mad Men experience is something he hopes translates to the final episodes.

"There's so much going on, but I feel lucky on some level," he said. "This is not a spoiler, but the show always has something to do with loss, always. Hopefully that's resonating in the work."
One of the most significant plots of season 6 was Don being fired from Sterling Cooper & Partners while finally opening up to his daughter Sally (Kiernan Shipka) about his upbringing. Weiner said that the final season could be about whether or not those around Don care that he's become more honest in the wake of his bad behavior.
"This season, I hope, will be about the consequences of that," Weiner said. "Just because you think you've changed a little, does anybody else really care?"
Mad Men season 7 premieres Sunday, April 13 at 10 p.m. on AMC.
