Mad Men is ready to begin its seventh and final season this April, and one of its stars thinks it's good that the AMC show is ending.

Final Episodes About "Loss" & "Consequences" For Don Draper?

John Slattery, who plays senior ad executive Roger Sterling on Mad Men, told Men's Journal recently that he thought it was time for the show to go.

"I just don't know how much there is left to say (in the show)," Slattery admitted. "I'm not saying it's running out of gas - but we told the story. It's time to go. I know some people will have a harder time dealing with that than others."

Peggy Olson: Back Together With Ted Or Happy Alone?

The 51-year-old actor also revealed how he would like Mad Men to end, suggesting a nostalgic ending.

"I think it would be cool to see the core group still there - the same four or five people who started Day One," he said. "But that's probably corny and nostalgic. That's probably not how it'll happen."

In other Mad Men spoiler news, AMC released another promo for the final season of the show, this one also featuring airplane and airport imagery.

The trailer features a very fashionable Megan Draper (Jessica Pare) exiting a taxi, showing that she has fully embraced the groovy '70s ahead. Other characters like Roger, Betty (January Jones), Pete (Vincent Kartheiser) Peggy (Elisabeth Moss) and Don (Jon Hamm) are also shown in dramatic slow motion.

Mad Men season 7 premieres Sunday, April 13 at 10 p.m. on AMC.
