Final Episodes About "Loss" & "Consequences" For Don Draper?

Very little has been revealed about the final season of Mad Men, despite the premiere being only weeks away. Creator Matthew Weiner is notoriously a stickler for spoilers, not wanting to reveal any plot details to the press no matter how insignificant. However, the creator spoke about the general theme of season 7 with TV Guide in February.

"What this season is about thematically is: Are there consequences, and are they irreversible?" Weiner revealed to the publication. "What are the things that you do that you can't undo."

He also revealed one of the more symbolic lines from the premiere episode of season 7: "Have I broken the vessel?" He later went on to explain that the question becomes whether or not the characters can refill the metaphorical vessel or if the vessel is just broken.

Weiner also revealed that there would be "significant stories" in the final season for Don (Jon Hamm), Peggy (Elisabeth Moss), Pete (Vincent Kartheiser), Roger (John Slattery) and Joan (Christina Hendricks).

Mad Men season 7 premieres Sunday, April 13 at 10 p.m. on AMC.
