Liev Schreiber recently tweeted about breaking his nose while filming for season 2 of Ray Donovan amid teasing an "interesting plot twist" on the show.

The actor has been good about keeping fans updated about developments on set and always drops updates from his work day with a decent dose of humor.

Schreiber joked about slamming his face against a glass door and busting his nose for the second time in a year.

"Walked into a glass door last night on set and broke my nose. Second time this year! S2 should have interesting plot twist..." he tweeted.

Seems like all those action sequences and the gruff mold of a fixer take quite a toll on the actor. Earlier last month, he was funny about taking many takes of being slapped on set.

"Season 2 update. I've just been slapped 48 times. I'm now in a shower and have been for the past 45 minutes..." he wrote.

In February, new images and footage of a bloody scene featuring Liev Schrieber and an injured female co-star were revealed.

In the clip and images, Schrieber wears a steely expression escorting the actress who is bleeding from a gun wound to her arm. Dressed in a dark jacket and a pair of crisp jeans, Schrieber's grey shirt is smeared with blood, as he holds on to a bloodied towel. In character, he is seen wielding a hand gun and shooting at the unseen assailant.

Schrieber plays the lead role of Ray Donovan in the show and was also nominated for a Golden Globe for the portrayal this year.

The second season will premiere on July 13.

Ray Donovan airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
