'Mad Men' Season 7 Spoilers: Don 'Rises To The Challenge' In Final Episodes After Losing Job? [VIDEO]
The starring cast of Mad Men convened at PaleyFest in Hollywood on Friday to reflect on the series and tease what might be ahead in the final season.

Many of the lead cast members of Mad Men, including Jon Hamm (who plays Don), Elisabeth Moss (Peggy), Vincent Kartheiser (Pete) and Christina Hendricks (Joan) came together to discuss the end of the show being near. Hamm made note of the cast's knowledge of their characters and how they would end up in the final season.
"I think some of us know where our characters are going to be. "I don't think any of us know what the scope or the entire body of the show is going to be," he said. "The way the show doles out information and tells the story is very oblique sometimes and I think that when people become really invested in the show they try to fill in the blanks."

Hamm also discussed Don's struggles through season 6 in particular, which involved his marriage to Megan (Jessica Pare) being on the rocks in addition to essentially losing his job at Sterling Cooper & Partners.
"That's going to be a hurdle," Hamm said, referring to loss of Don's job. "But one overriding principle of Don is that he's a survivor. He rises to the challenge."
As Don falls from his position of power, Peggy is rising up the corporate ladder. At the end of season 6, Peggy placed herself behind Don's desk and seemed to enjoy the position. Going forward, Moss said that Peggy's struggle will involve her identity.
"[Peggy's] battle all along has been: Would she be Don? Should she be Joan? Should she be someone's wife or someone's mother?" Moss said. "I don't think she's figured it out yet but she's starting to ask the right question, which is: Who am I? I think she's finally figuring out that her role is to be who she is."
Mad Men season 7 premieres Sunday, April 13 at 10 p.m. on AMC.
