Ann Curry has not addressed rumors that she may be fired from NBC's "Today" show as soon as next week.

The co-host showed up for work at the "Today" show on Thursday and Friday and interacted as usual with co-host Matt Lauer. Her lawyer had no comments about her exit on Friday.

The New York Times published a story on Wednesday evening saying NBC and Curry began to discuss her departure from the show several weeks ago after a slump in the ratings against its rival ABC's "Good Morning America" in the spring.

In a recent interview for a "Ladies' Home Journal" August cover story, Curry admitted that the ratings war made her worry about her performance.

"It's hard not to take it personally. You worry, Am I not good enough? Am I not what people need? Am I asking the right questions?" she said.

"When people say negative things or speculate, you can't help but feel hurt. I know NBC pays my salary but I have never doubted who I work for. I think about the people who watch. They're the ones who matter to me. I want to feel I haven't dropped the ball when it comes to them," she added.

But she said she would like to be on the show more years.

"I've been at Today for 15 years and I'd love to make it to 20," she told the magazine.

Various reports say Curry will most likely become a foreign correspondent for NBC News and be replaced by Savannah Guthrie on "Today."

TMZ says she will be fired as soon as next week, citing anonymous sources. The celebrities site says she had signed a long-term contract that guaranteed her $10 million a year for three years.

Curry replaced Meredith Vieira as co-host a year ago but had been working in the show for 14 years..
