Cody Simpson, who was eliminated during Monday night's episode of Dancing With the Stars, recently described his "mixed feelings" over being voted off.

Drew Carey In Danger Of DWTS Elimination After Low-Scoring Performance?

Simpson became the fourth celebrity eliminated from Dancing With the Stars in season 18, and the young pop star is disappointed to be gone so soon.

"I'm sad...mixed feelings. It's kind of like, one amazing experience is over, Witney and I are kind of sad about it, but at the same time, I can just get back to what I do...start working on the new album and move on to the next phase of my career," Simpson explained to E! News after his elimination.

Simpson also said that he and his partner Witney Carson had "no clue" that they would be the ones eliminated.

"Witney and I were like, 'We'll be fine, we're going to be safe. It's all good.' It just goes to show you, you should never get too comfortable," he said.

One celebrity who could be secretly happy about Simpson is James Maslow, a fellow teen heartthrob singer. With Simpson's elimination, Maslow is now the only young singer in the competition which could help with votes. However, Maslow did not express any happy feelings about Simpson's elimination.

"I really think there's a huge fanbase for Cody and I, who have younger fans, who may not have known who we were at the beginning," Maslow said. "We have to earn their votes and it's a reminder to me and to [Peta Murgatroyd], like, 'Hey, we're not safe at any time.'"

Dancing With the Stars season 18 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
