'Basketball Wives LA' Sundy Carter Speaks on Having Baby With Married Larry Hughes After Cancer Comments Aimed to Brandi Maxiell During Finale
Basketball Wives LA Sundy Carter has made headlines since her brawl with Draya Michele that left her with a black eye, but now she's speaking out about her former relationship with NBA player Larry Hughes.
In an interview with HipHollywood, Sundy opened up about her affair with the married basketball player and explained that they were both grown when they decided to have a baby, despite the fact she knew he was a married man and cheated on his wife. Their daughter, Kennedy Elise is now 6 years old.
"When two people are adults and they have a mutual understanding...I didn't get pregnant by myself. I didn't impregnate myself."
"I know what it is. I don't need to explain myself. I don't need to explain my story on how I got my Kennedy. And clearly it wasn't immaculate conception."
"We made this 6-year-old together. We knowingly did this."
Meanwhile, Sundy was recently criticized for her harsh comments aimed at Brandy Maxiell during the BBWLA finale show when she threw shade at her for not being able to have children.
"Go try and make a baby, I have three," Sundy said.
Maxiell was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
After the finale aired, Shaunie O'Neal, who executive produces the reality show took to Twitter to express her disappointment in Sundy and apologized to people who have survived cancer.
"For the record, as the executive producer of Basketball Wives, I do not condone the extremely mean behavior that took place on tonights episode . The complete disregard and disrespect shown toward people suffering from cancer has made me sick to my stomach and I am extremely upset and disappointed at what I have seen. The five minutes of fame isn't worth it. My heart goes out to @brandimaxwell and the countless cancer patients and survivors who witnessed this reckless behavior."
