Rachel will be introduced to a Mary Halloran, a Hollywood screenwriter interested in writing a network TV series based on her life, according to a new detailed synopsis of the finale released this week. However, Mary's vision for the show is completely lost on Rachel and her friends - except Brittany (Heather Morris), who seems to get it.
Meanwhile, Mercedes (Amber Riley) will be dealing with her own drama in the form of Sam (Chord Overstreet). She is busy on her nationwide shopping-mall tour in promotion of her new CD while Sam is concerning himself with accomplishing a bucket list goal of appearing "almost naked on a city bus."

The couple realizes that they will soon have to spend several months apart from each other, and their friends offer up some advice on how to deal with it. They then make a decision on their future as a couple.
Over at NYADA, Blaine (Darren Criss) works on his big showcase with June (Shirley MacLaine). She tells him that this could change his career immeasurably, though it may come at a price to his relationship with Kurt (Chris Colfer). Blaine may be forced to break a promise to his fiancé.
The final episode is titled The Untitled Rachel Berry Project and will air on Tuesday, May 13.
