Naya Rivera has officially been fired from Glee, according to new reports.

Rivera, who plays fan favorite Santana on Glee, has reportedly been removed from the show going forward after conflicts on the set, per Us Weekly. The report states that Rivera has had "mounting tension" with co-star Lea Michele (who plays Rachel) in addition to others behind the scenes.
The 27-year-old actress allegedly "went off" on producers, disagreeing with them and causing them to not renew her contract for the show's upcoming sixth and final season. However, the dispute was not about Michele.

The producers had also apparently written Rivera out of the season 5 finale, a finale that involved her character Santana returning to New York after a Hawaiian trip with Brittany (Heather Morris).

"They're always icy to each other, a Glee source told Us Weekly. "Naya is jealous that Lea is the show's main star... There is a lot of sighing and eye-rolling between them."
Another insider said that they "talk behind each other's backs - a lot."
Rivera has been a star on Glee since season 1 and is one of the only characters whose journey has been followed through all five seasons.
Glee season 5 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
