Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) seems to have adapted a more gothic look in 24: Live Another Day, and there is a distinct reason for that, according to the actress.

24: Live Another Day Features Jack In London, CIA On The Hunt For Him?

Fox's 24 is coming back for a 12 episode event series called Live Another Day this Monday, and Chloe will have changed since fans last saw her. The quirky computer whiz is now sporting short, black hairdo and wearing black clothing. She is working for a WikiLeaks type of organization called Red Sect, but that's not the only reason for her new look.

"She's also suffered a personal tragedy," Rajskub told TV Guide this week. "She's in a lot of pain and [is] angry, and that's reflected in her look."

When her former confidant Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) enlists in her help again, she is hesitant to lend her expertise.

"When she realizes what he wants from her, she's very angry," she added. "They don't see eye-to-eye. She's questioning him more than she has, and for the first time, she has words with him."

Jack Bauer is now a fugitive in London, with the CIA back in the U.S. trying to hunt him down. With Chloe essentially being Jack's only remaining ally, he is highly dependent on her, and it is only a matter of time before she helps him out.

24: Live Another Day premieres on Monday, May 5 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
