Draya Michele New Show, Spin Off Produced By VH1 After 'Basketball Wives LA?' Reality Star Filming Pilot, Source Says
Draya Michele won't be on Basketball Wives LA anymore, but fans will still see her on television, as she is reportedly gearing up for her own spinoff show.
A few weeks ago, it was evident that there was a rift between Michele and the other castmembers of BBWLA after she refused to film the reunion show with them.
According to reports, Michele has been working on a show of her own and the news was revealed at her First Annual Empowerment Brunch which took place on Sunday at the Xen Lounge. Sources said the VH1 cameras were rolling during the event and all guests were required to fill out nondisclosure forms.
A few weeks ago, she hinted a VH1 spinoff, when she tweeted:
"Just spoke to @VH1 and the rumors about canceling #BBWLA are 100% false," she tweeted. "You know I know."
"And trust you haven't seen the last of Draya...I'm just getting started."
"Big. Huge. Plans. For. Draya at @VH1!!!"
Michele has made it known that she's not all about the cattyness and fighting and wants to focus on a more positive direction.
Enstars reported earlier that her boyfriend Orlando Scandrick had even encouraged her to leave the show.
"You know what? I think it's been really hard on my boyfriend. We watch it together and he's came to the point already. It's been episode one, we saw 60 minutes of what is going to be going on for 12 weeks and he's like 'You know what? I don't think you should do this next year. How much are they paying you again? I'll pay you double to sit your a** on the couch," she said during an interview with Big Boi's Neighborhood back in February.
