The season 7 finale of The Big Bang Theory is titled The Status Quo Combustion and features Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) getting ready to face "an uncertain future" and considering a "major move," according to the CBS plot synopsis.
Additionally, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Emily (Laura Spencer) decide to take things to "to the next level" while Mrs. Wolowitz's (Carol Ann Susi) injury becomes a headache for Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch).
Penny Makes Huge 'Life Choice' on The Big Bang Theory?
One big plot point that was not addressed in the plot synopsis is the Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) relationship. Enstars has previously reported that one of the two would propose to the other, and sure enough, Leonard proposed on Thursday night's episode. Penny enthusiastically said yes and the two finally became engaged.
It is currently unknown what could be next for the on again-off again couple, but they seem to be serious this time.
Even if the big wedding doesn't occur in the finale, the show will have plenty of time to feature a big wedding episode. The sitcom was recently renewed by CBS for three full seasons, putting its season count at 10, a significant feat for a sitcom these days.
The Big Bang Theory season 7 finale airs Thursday, May 15 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
