Survivor is going on its 29th season and still going strong in the ratings. With season 29, there are allegedly plans to bring back the Blood vs. Water twist, only this time with all new players, according to a new report by RealityBlurred.
The Blood vs. Water twist appeared in season 27 with 10 returning players competing alongside 10 loved ones. For Season 29, the concept will return, but most of the other details are unknown. The report claims to have spoken with people who have been through casting, who are saying that they don't know if they're going to be competing on separate tribes or not.
Additionally, Survivor's most polarizing twist, Redemption Island, may be back, as casting has reportedly suggested that it will be. The season would be filmed in Nicaragua, a location last used for season 22's Redemption Island.
As for the landmark 30th season of the show, the report is claiming that it will have a "Survivor Legends" concept, with all returning players competing. The report states that those involved in casting for Season 29 have been informed that Season 30 will be all returnees.
It is not known if the season will actually be called Survivor: Legends, as this has been rumored for months on end. This will be the first season with all returning players since Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains in Season 20. Before that, the only other returning player-only season was Survivor: All Stars in Season 8. Season 30 will also reportedly be filmed in Nicaragua.
