Now that the explosive season finale of Bones has aired, executive producer Stephen Nathan has revealed what is ahead for Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) going into Season 10.

Brennan & Booth Ready For Baby No. 2 To Join Christine on Bones?

The Season 9 finale of Bones was one of the most eventful finales the show has ever done - so much so that it will have an impact on the series going forward. With Booth getting dragged into a conspiracy involving the family of the Ghost Killer being connected to someone in the FBI, he faced off against members of the Delta Force. The fight wound up resulting in three Delta Force members dead, leading Booth (who was shot in the stomach) to be arrested. Brennan protested alongside him but she was taken into custody.

With Booth and Brennan now in conflict with the FBI, it has thrown a very new and exciting twist on the series. Nathan spoke with TVGuide.com after the episode, revealing what is to come in Season 10.

Angela's Real Name Revealed?

"We will open Season 10 with Booth in custody," Nathan teased. "Booth will be in jail awaiting trial. As always happens from the time you're incarcerated to the time your trial starts can be quite a long time. All I can say is it is not a good situation for a law enforcement officer to be incarcerated with criminals."

He also said that Brennan will have been "dragged away" from Booth in the new season.

Nathan said that on a broader scale, Season 10 would be about "an evolution." He noted that everyone has points in their lives where they must reevaluate and essentially take a different path, which will be reflected in the characters next season.

"I think there will be new challenges for Season 10 that have the potential to upset the apple cart," he teased. "Everyone's life is changing. Everybody is going to be evolving, It's a time in people's lives where they go, 'Let me find out what it is I really want and how I can be most valuable.' That's what we're drawing from for Season 10."

Bones Season 10 premieres in fall 2014 on Fox, though the network has not announced a specific premiere date yet. However, they did announce that it will air in the Thursdays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
