Emily Maynard had one of the "hardest" rose ceremonies of the season Monday night when she had to oust one of the four guys on "The Bachelorette" hometown visits' episode.

Spoiler Alert. Maynard had only three roses tonight. She gave the first rose to Arie, the second to Jef, and the third to... Sean.

Chris was sent home.

"I don't understand," a schocked Chris told Emily. "I told you I loved you."

But Emily said she had to follow her heart and boldly sent him home.

Episode 8 Recap

Emily first visited Chris' hometown in Chicago. His family is Polish and he took her to a Polish bar and told her he is in love with her.

Then Emily visited Jef's family ranch in St. George, Utah where she got to meet his siblings only because his partents were in a charity trip. Emily gets surprised that Jef is more "country" than he appears. He reads Emily a romantic letter showing the love he feels towards her.

Next Emily went to Arizona to meet Arie's parents. She rode in a racecar with Arie and then had an uncomfortable moment with his parents when they started to speak in Dutch in front of her and she didn't understand a word.

In Dallas, she visited Sean's hometown where she met his parents and dogs. She also discovered Sean's secret that he still lives with his parents so part of the visit included Sean showing her his room.

At the end of the hometown visit Sean says: “You never want that moment to end. When she drives off, it just means that moment is ending.”

Then Emily headed with the guys to the rose ceremony where she picked her last 3 perfect men.
