Baer also revealed at the CBS Summer Junket Day that Stephen King will be making a cameo in the show's second season premiere. King, wrote the Under the Dome novel on which the series is based. Baer said that King is "certifying" it.

CBS showed a trailer for the Season 2 premiere, where it was revealed that the Dome has become magnetic and is able to throw Chester's Mill's various metal appliances across town.

"What I love about Stephen King's way of seeing the world is that the ordinary becomes extraordinary. The barbeque is only the beginning. In that episode, things we trust become fearful," Baer said.

The show will have a big action-packed premiere to the extent that two of the show's main characters will wind up dead.

As Baer previously teased, "no one is safe" under the Dome.

Under the Dome Season 2 premieres Monday, June 30 at 10:00 p.m. on CBS.
