Fox previously decided to renew Glee for a Season 6, which would be the show's last. With the series gradually decreasing in the ratings, the network decided to cut the fifth season of two episodes, bringing its usual episode total from 22 down to 20.
Now, there are new rumors that Season 6 will have an even shorter episode order. The sixth and final season may reportedly only be 13 episodes, according to a new report by TVLine.
Glee Returning To McKinley High For Final Season?
With only a limited amount of time to possibly tell the story of the glee kids everyone has grown to love, one of the show's actresses is hoping to go back to the place that started it all: McKinley High.
Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the series, recently spoke with Fashion & Style, revealing that she would like for the series to be brought back to the Lima high school for the final season, if only for a few episodes.
"I really would like to do some great musical numbers with my cast members, and probably to go back to McKinley High, where it all began, for a couple of episodes, just to go back to our roots," Michele admitted.
Michele recently dropped a bombshell in her book Brunette Ambition, revealing that she once dated Glee co-star Matthew Morrison, who plays Will Schuester.
"When we shot the [Glee] pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley, and Chris Colfer for the first time. I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact, we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat," she revealed.
Glee Season 6 is expected to air in 2015.
