US Olympic Swimming Team 2012: Team Roster Announced for London Olympics
Following the conclusion of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Swimming in Omaha, Nebraska, USA Swimming today named the complete roster for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Swim team.
Swimmer Jessica Hardy qualified for her third event, according to USA Swimming's official website when she finished first on the last day of the swim trials, narrowly beating Dara Torres, who finished second and missed her sixth chance at competing in the Olympics. The loss lead to Torres announcing her retirement.

On Saturday, July 7, the entire U.S. Olympic swim team will head to Knoxville, Tennessee, for the team's domestic training camp prior to its departure to the Olympic Games in London. On July 12, the team will hold an open practice for media and members of the team will have media availability.
The Olympic pool competition will take place July 28 to August 4 at the London Aquatic Centre. The women's and men's 10K Olympic marathon swim will take place on Aug. 9 and 10, respectively, at the Serpentine at Hyde Park in London.
