'Sherlock' Season 4 Release Date: Still Being 'Worked Out' As Netflix Specials & Season 3 Episodes Begin Streaming? [VIDEO]
Sherlock Season 3 has now been released on Netflix, and with it there are three new behind-the-scenes specials.
Sherlock Season 4 is 'The Plan' For New Episodes, No One-Off Special?
All three episodes of Sherlock's third season have been released through Netflix Watch Instantly, including The Empty Hearse, The Sign of Three and His Last Vow. Alongside it are specials under the headline of Sherlock Uncovered, which delve into specific facets of the popular British series.
The first special is called Sherlock Uncovered: The Return, which features the cast and crew of Sherlock returning to the set at the beginning of Season 3 to do their first table read for the first episode.
Sherlock Season 4 Coming Sooner Than 2016?
The next special is called Sherlock Uncovered: The Women, which obviously features an emphasis on the various women in Sherlock Holmes' life, both in the show and on the page. Cast members are shown discussing Sherlock's various relationships with women.
The final special is called Sherlock Uncovered: The Villains, which emphasizes the various villains that have come into Sherlock's life throughout the series.
All of this Sherlock content is available to anyone with a Netflix Instant account, and with Season 3 now officially streaming, the entire Sherlock collection thus far is complete. Fans of the hit series are eagerly waiting the return of the show, which features Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular role and Martin Freeman as John Watson.
Season 4 is still in the process of being determined as far as getting the cast and crew together.
"We're literally in the middle of working out what we're doing and the dates we've got. It's a bit of a watch-this-space, I'm afraid," producer Sue Vertue told Vulture recently, in regards to Season 4.
