'Survivor' Winners Season: Parvati Shallow Talks Potential All Champions Edition; Too 'Boring'? [POLL, VIDEO]
Survivor all star and champion Parvati Shallow may not be confident in there being a future "all winners" season, but she does know who she wants to play against the most.
Controversial Amazing Race Team Competing On Survivor Season 29?
Shallow, who won Survivor: Micronesia and came in second place in Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, spoke with Entertainment Weekly Radio hosts Dalton Ross and Jessica Shaw on location for the latest edition of Survivor in Nicaragua last week and talked about a potential winners season. Asked about returning to play in this hypothetical season, Shallow was not very confident.
"I've always heard there won't be an all-winners season because apparently -- and these are not my words -- some of the winners have been boring," Shallow said. "So they don't want to bring back a bunch of the winners if it's going to be a dullsville season. So I don't think I will be back, Dalton. I think I'm done."
No Redemption Island on Survivor 29?
As noted in the Entertainment Weekly write-up, it may not even be ethical to have Shallow competing again in another season even if she did want to return, after being a part of the press for two seasons now and seeing all the behind-the-scenes production.
However, Shallow does have some Survivor winners in mind who she'd like to take on if she were in a hypothetical winners season.
"I would love to have Boston Rob [Mariano], just because he's Rob and he's fun," she said. "But to play against as far as I think they would be competition - probably Kim Spradlin. She played once and won."
She also said that she'd like to play against Sandra Diaz-Twine again, the winner of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains and the only two-time winner in the show's 28-season history.
"She's super under the radar and incredibly manipulative, so I would like to play against Sandra again," she said, before adding: I want to beat Sandra because she beat me."
Survivor host Jeff Probst previously said that an all-winners season would be great but suggested that there may not be enough "great characters" to make for a compelling season of the show.
An all-winners season of Survivor may not be coming soon but there may be one in the distant future as the show gradually has a larger pool of winners to choose from.
In the mean time, Survivor: San Juan del Sur, featuring 18 new contestants, will premiere in fall 2014 on CBS in its regular Wednesdays at 8 p.m. timeslot.
